Privacy Policy

RoastMyWeb is built to be privacy-friendly. You don't need an account to get a roast, and we collect as little as possible. This policy explains what we handle and why.

What we collect

• The URL you submit. We fetch the public content of the website you enter in order to analyze it and generate a roast. We don't sell this data.
• Anonymous usage analytics. We use Vercel Analytics, which measures page views and performance without cookies or personally identifying you.
• An aggregate counter. We keep a running total of how many sites have been roasted (stored in Upstash Redis). This is a number, not tied to you.
• Temporary rate-limiting. We may briefly use your IP address to prevent abuse and enforce fair-use limits. It is not used to build a profile of you.

What we don't collect

We don't require names, we don't create user accounts for the free roast, and we never see or store your payment card details (see below).

Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider and merchant of record. When you check out, your payment information is handled by Lemon Squeezy under their own privacy policy — it does not pass through or get stored on our servers.

Third-party services

To run the Service, we rely on:

• Groq — AI processing of the submitted website's public content to generate the roast.
• Vercel — hosting and anonymous analytics.
• Upstash — the aggregate roast counter and rate-limiting.
• Lemon Squeezy — payments and subscription billing.

Data retention

Submitted URLs are used to produce your roast and are not retained for marketing. Aggregate counts and anonymous analytics are kept to operate and improve the Service.

Your choices

Because we don't maintain accounts or personal profiles for the free Service, there's little personal data to access or delete. If you've purchased a plan and want information associated with your order removed, contact us and we'll help, coordinating with Lemon Squeezy where needed.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date above will reflect changes.
